Privacy Policy

Echo Remover ("the App") is published by Bulpara ("we", "us", "our"). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App. In short: we process your audio off-device only to clean it, hold it for the shortest time necessary, and auto-delete it within 24 hours. We never review your audio or use it to train AI.

1. Voice Recordings & Audio Files

• Off-device processing. To clean a file, the App uploads it over an encrypted (TLS) connection to a third-party processing service (Replicate), where the de-reverb model runs and returns the cleaned result to your device.
• Brief, temporary storage. During processing, your input and output files are held only briefly in encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). They are not kept as part of any permanent profile.
• Auto-deletion within 24 hours. Both the original you upload and the cleaned output are automatically deleted within 24 hours. You can also trigger deletion of your uploads from within the App.
• No human review, no training. Your recordings are never listened to or reviewed by a person, and are never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model.
• You control sharing. If you save or share a cleaned file via the iOS share sheet (Files, Messages, Mail, AirDrop, etc.), you control where it goes — we do not see it.

2. Data We Store Locally

• Cleaned clip history: File references, durations, strength setting, and timestamps for each job, stored locally on your device via SwiftData.
• Preferences: Default strength, default export format, theme, and notification settings.
• Free-preview counter: A per-device count of your lifetime free previews, metered against a device-level token (Apple DeviceCheck) so the free tier can't be reset by reinstalling. This counter is tied to a device, not to your name or identity.
• Purchase status: Subscription state is managed by Apple's StoreKit and cached locally for feature gating.

3. Permissions We Request

• Microphone: Only when you tap "Record" to capture a new take in the App. We do not record in the background or while the App is closed.
• Files / iCloud Drive: Only the audio file you explicitly pick is imported into the App. We do not browse or enumerate your storage.
• Notifications (optional): Used only to notify you when a file finishes processing. You can disable this in iOS Settings.

4. Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services:

• Replicate — runs the off-device audio cleanup. Your audio is sent to Replicate solely to process your file and is subject to the deletion terms above. It is not used to train models. See Replicate's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare R2 — provides the encrypted temporary storage that holds your files during processing, with auto-deletion within 24 hours. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — manages subscriptions and purchases. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

The App does not display ads and uses no advertising SDKs. We do not share your audio with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Audio is transmitted over encrypted (TLS) connections and held only in encrypted temporary storage during processing.
• Input and output files are auto-deleted within 24 hours and are not retained as part of any user profile.
• History, preferences, and the free-preview counter are stored locally on your device.
• Purchase verification uses Apple's secure StoreKit framework.

6. How We Classify Your Data (App Privacy)

For Apple's App Privacy label, we declare Audio Data as Collected and Used for App Functionality only (to perform the cleanup you request). Your audio is not used to track you and is not linked to your identity. The free-tier counter is metered against a device-level token, not your name or account.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your audio is shared only with our processing provider (Replicate) and temporary storage provider (Cloudflare R2), solely to clean the file you submitted, and only for as long as needed before auto-deletion. It is never shared for advertising or model training.

8. Your Rights

You can:

• Delete individual cleaned clips and local history from within the App
• Trigger deletion of your uploaded files from within the App
• Delete the App to remove all local history and preferences
• Disable Notifications and Microphone permission from iOS Settings at any time
• Request information about data handling by contacting us at privacy@bulpara.com

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because uploaded audio may contain other people's voices, you must only process recordings you have the right to use (see our Terms of Service).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
